Travel Log: A Long Engagement (Day 16)

Destination: Stopover - Hong Kong
Duration: 16 Days 15 Nights (Feb 24~Mar 11, 2015)

Day 16: A Meeting with Starsss

We were woken up at 4am Hong Kong time for breakfast and this time I chose the omelet set rather than the porridge. It tasted just normal but i did like the slightly tangy sauce on top of the omelet for extra kick.
Breakfast on CX - Omelet, Yoghurt & Cranberry Muffin (i must say the Muffin was yummy!)
The plane touched down in HKIA at around 6.30am but our connecting flight to Penang only departed at 3pm++. Thus we’d decided to take the Airport MRT to Hong Kong station to experience the Hong Kong breakfast and visit Madame Tussauds Hong Kong‎.

Sammy is excited too!
At 1st we planned to go to those old style Hong Kong restaurant but we were terribly lost when walking out of Hong Kong Station. Thus we settled for the one which we saw from the bridge and ended up at ‘Dai Ka Lok’ (大家乐). I think it’s kind of like their McDonalds? A lot of people were queuing for food and I ended up with the ‘Chan Tan Chee’ (餐蛋治)Luncheon Meat & Egg Sandwich and a cup of Milk Tea. Both were just okay I guess. Should’ve tried the Chinese choices like porridge!
A Map! But we are hopelessly LOST anyway...

We finally got into Madame Tussauds Hong Kong – the wax museum was categorized into a few sections such as movie stars, sport stars, politicians, singers & comic characters. There was also this special edition section for Journey to the West. Everything can be photographed except Jacky Chan – they would take the picture for you so that you could buy it with blood-sucking price. *roll eyes*

Since time was running short, we just went back to Hong Kong Station for our train to HKIA again. Our flight departed on time and I chose the fried vermicelli with Dim Sum as my meal and it was really nice! *thumb up* Thus this finally ended our long engagement and home sweet home! =)
