Day 14: Luncheon & San Francisco
After our last breakfast in Fairfield – Scrambled egg,
sausage, English muffin & orange (I will definitely miss you!!!), we
continued our work and drove to the Sunnyvale office for our last meeting &
luncheon. There were free gifts and of course free foods but the best part was
to meet so many colleagues there. =) It was really luck that brought us to this
luncheon as we were supposed to fly back on Saturday but all flight tickets (or
at least the economy seats… =P) were sold out.

Time flied and it was 2pm++ before the luncheon ended. We
had to rush back to San Jose Airport to return the car rental, got back to
Fairfield for a late checkout and finally got on to our Airport Shuttle to San
Francisco International Airport. It was around 4.30pm when we finally reached
the airport and deposit our luggage in an overpriced storage center. However,
this is also the only storage center in the whole San Francisco Airport so you
basically have no choice.
We took the BART from SFO to Powell Station and straight
into the heart of San Francisco shopping district. Since we had a few hours
before boarding, we went into Ross for some cheap clothing and romped Market
Street.

Nice view huh? |
Dinner was in Westfield Mall Foodcourt and we ordered the
fried chicken with mashed potato & biscuit from Wishbone to share. The chicken
was really tender and crispy and mashed potato & biscuit were yummy too.

After dinner, we’d decided to walk to Union Square for a
last picture before leaving San Francisco but apparently Union Square was under
renovation. *facepalm* It was getting late thus we took the BART back to SFO
again for check-in.

Surprisingly, for an international airport – there was
basically nothing much to see inside the airport itself. However, we did SCORE
big when we realized DANIEL WU was queuing right in front of us during security
check! *squee* My colleague is a big fan thus she politely asked for picture
before Daniel rushed into private lounge.

Day 15: A Long Flight to Hong Kong
The flight finally departed at 12.20am and I was totally
exhausted by that time. We were served supper with choices of Mushroom Chicken
or Meatloaf. I chose the Mushroom Chicken and it was not bad. However, the star
of the meal for me was the appetizer – shrimp salad with cocktail sauce San
Francisco Style! YUMMY!!! Oh, did I mention there was Haagen Dazs Ice cream as
well? *innocent face*

I totally passed out during most of the flight and only
woke up occasionally for some snacks. They also served cup noodle but I was too
full for that thus I took some potato chips and candy instead. After that it
was back to sleep I guess! Yes, we basically spent Day 15 on the plane! =(
