Previous Day (Foodsss & Minato Mirai!)

Destination: Japan, Germany & Singapore
Duration: 13 Days 12 Nights (Feb 22~Mar 07, 2014)

Day 6: Meiji Shrine, Harajuku & Goodbye Japan!

We were going to leave Japan today for Germany thus we worked until Hotel Checkout time to tie up some loose end. Since there were some time between checkout time and our flight, we took the chance to explore the city.
Breakfast in Associa Hotel
This time we took the train to Harajuku Station to visit the famous Meiji Shrine – a shrine that is dedicated to Emperor Meiji & his wife. The area was so huge that we needed to take 1-2 hours to walk through all that. There was a small museum inside the area but it was quite small and no photographs allowed. =(

After the long walk, we continued to Harajuku Takeshita Street to have an overdue lunch. The lunch was really cheap but basically what I got was rice wrapped in omelet with tons of brown sauce that only cost 500Yen. But it actually tasted not bad! Hehe...
Cheap Restaurant!

Chicken Set
The Takeshita Street was fully of shopping stall and the stuffs there looked nice! However, they were expensive if we were to convert it into Malaysian Ringgit. *cry* We also saw some cosplayers walking in the street but didn’t manage to take picture of that.

Leaving now...
We finally got back to Shin-Yokohama to take our luggage to take a local train to Yokohama station for Narita Express. We said farewell to Japan with a Convi Sandwich (What else? *grin*) on Narita Express during the 90 minutes ride.
Last Meal in Japan
Sammy is hiding...
This also marked the 1st time we were booked on Etihad Airways - it was a 2-leg flight from Narita to Abu Dhabi (13hours++ hours) followed by a 7 hour+ flight from Abu Dhabi to Frankfurt. The only thing I knew about Etihad? It is a cheap airline which boosted 5-stars hospitality and it appeared everytime we googled cheap plane tickets. Hehehe…
Gate 54! Etihad!
The plane was indeed a small one with 2-4-2 configuration and the aisle was really really narrow. The inflight entertainment system was shut down for 40minutes after takeoff before reaching cruising altitude and was shut down again 40minutes before the plane landed.
Sammy is trilled!
Some Goodie!
At least the screen is big!
With lots of Choices...
We were given a night kit which was surprising considering this is a cheap airline. Heheee… Dinner on board was either Arabic Chicken Biryani, Penne Pasta or Japanese set. We chose the Arabic Chicken Biryani to try out since this is an Arabic Airline but the taste was quite strange. The appetizer of Smoked Salmon with potato Salad and the dessert of Panna Cotta with orange sauce were great though. Nom nom!!!
Menu of the day!
Chicken Biryani.. Hmm... Prefer the Appetizer & Dessert though
We fell asleep quickly to grab some much needed ‘beauty sleep’ for our continuous journey tomorrow. Gutt Nacht!

Next Day (Transit in Abu Dhabi & Heart Attack in Frankfurt!)
