Our Taipei counterpart decided to take us to a Japanese owned Italian restaurant for lunch since my boss is an American and they were concerned that he might not like Taiwanese food. We had to walk there and I must say I was totally embarrassing myself by falling in front of my boss during the short walk! UGH!!! Can I claim SOCSO for this?

Anyhoo, the food in that restaurant was great! We had our own set of soup, tapa, main course & dessert and they ordered buy 1 free 1 lemonade and thin crust pizza for sharing. Yummy!!!

After lunch it was WORK WORK WORK again and apparently we stayed at the office until 7.15pm and finally walked to our dinner place – a high-end Thai restaurant. My boss and the marketing guy ordered pineapple fried rice, roasted pork, tom yam seafood soup, fried shrimp cake & green curry chicken to share among ourselves. The restaurant was jammed packed so I guess it was a popular hangout for local as well. The food looked and tasted great! After dinner and some small talk, it was already around 10pm so we went back to the hotel and prepared to leave Taipei the next day.

It was a Dragonair plane and it was not equipped with TV. The plane was half empty again and I had the whole 3 seats to myself. I was served chicken rice and pipeapple cake. It tasted ok.
Chicken Rice - the chicken tastes gingerly...
The plane landed in Hong Kong and I had a 2 ½ hour layover for the plane to Penang. Little did I know that the plane had been delayed again! This time it was mechanical failure! Holy Shit! Would the plane explode in 30000 feet after takeoff? Guess I watched too much “Final Destination”! *facepalm* My 3.20pm flight ended up only departed at around 4.30pm. What a disaster! Thank God for Skype else I would be bored to death.

I was starving by the time they served the dinner so I guess everything tasted good during that! It was spaghetti with fish basically as CX didn’t show us any menu and such. I finally reached Penang at around 7.30pm and ended the rushed trip.
