Vegetable is not really part of my vocabulary unless they
are broccoli or when I need some serious fiber. Imagine a carnivore eating
vegetable, that’s totally unthinkable right?
The story started when we were wondering at All Season Place
– totally out of idea on what to eat. After looking at the menu at Zhou
Restaurant feeling less than thrilled, we stumbled upon a restaurant called
JanXDen decorated in green. Upon looking at the menu, we got to know it’s a
vegetarian restaurant but the pictures in the menu simply grasped our
attention! This is no ordinary boring vegetarian restaurant! They sell
Japanese, Italian, Chinese & Fusion vegetarian food!

Impressed by the menu, we walked in to have a try and that
was when the carnivore feeling totally at home at a vegeland! The food is
delicious and doesn’t taste or even look vegetarian. The best thing is they are
really vegetable rather than the flour-based fake meat that most vegetarian
restaurant is serving.
Here are some of the food pictures that we sampled during
our visits – yes, that’s plural because we love the food here and would like to
try more.
Aglio Olio – my favourite choice since it’s spicy and
it’s cooked with olive oil and served with lots of vegetables such as broccoli,
cauliflower, mushroom etc. Be careful on what you bite on as it might be chili
padi!!!

Cheesy Mushroom Sandwich – another yummy dish! I hated
eggplant all my life but this totally changes my mind. A must try!

Rainbow Sushi – A sushi stuffed full of vegetables without
rice, so crunchy and unique!

Spinach Pizza – a crispy pizza with spicy sauce – this totally
rivals pizza from top Italian restaurants!

Spinach Spaghetti – creamy spinach pasta but quite common

Tomato Bruschetta – a different spin from original Italian
bruschetta but still scrumptious, I think there is a touch of fruit vinegar
there
