Voucher Food Hunt: Isaribi Tei (Part 2)

We’ve tried out Isaribi Tei Food before in another voucher purchase (link) and absolutely love it. They did sell some other vouchers after that but most of the vouchers were quite high-price is compared with other food voucher. However, I’ve finally succumbed to the temptation and purchase the following voucher:-

[44% Off] 5-Course Japanese Meal with King Prawn Thermidor, Red Snapper Shabu Shabu, Salmon Carpaccio, & More + Free Flow of Green Tea for 2 People at Isaribi Tei Japanese Restaurant for RM88 instead of RM157.30 (only RM44 per person)

We were 1st served with Shima-aji Cavlor and Salmon Carpaccio (Special Carpoccio dish made with stripped jackfish & Salmon). The taste was a bit sour and the ingredient fresh and served well as an appetizer. Definitely a must try.

Grilled Tuna Maki was served after that – the grilled tuna was so soft that it melted in your mouth... Yummy!!!!

It was followed by Tai Shabu Shabu (Mini Steamboat with red snapper cut) – the soup base was so sweet and complimented the red snapper well. The snapper was fresh as ever.

Look at this!!!
Sanma kabayaki (Japanese Saury marinated with teriyaki sauce & grilled) was served after that – not really a fan of this as there were simply too much bones and the fish has a too-strong taste.

Last but not least, there was the King Prawn Thermidor with Cheese & Cream – the king prawn was big and tasted well with the cheese but I think I still prefer the king prawn maki during my 1st visit (link).

Isaribi Tei is definitely a high quality Japanese restaurant to indulge in and their quality definitely warrant for more visits. Do give it a try! They also have set menu in moderate price around RM18 and above.

Isaribi Tei is located opposite Hotel 1926 in Burmah Road, Penang.
