Voucher Food Hunt: Bee Won Korea Restaurant

I never realized that there is a Korea restaurant located in Hotel Royal until I saw this deal in ezivoucher.

It’s actually kind of difficult to make an appointment as the restaurant was fully booked on all the weekend (yes, they told us they were fully booked in the weekend for 1 month – until the voucher expiry date) even though the voucher stated that weekend is allowed. I’m not sure whether this was done deliberately so that the customer paying cheap price only get to go during weekday or the restaurant was really that popular.

During our visit on a Monday night, we ordered Dakgogi (Chicken) Pancake Set & Bulgogi (Beef) Pancake Set. We were served with the Korean appetizers and kelp seaweed soup. The Korean appetizers paled in comparison to Daorae. The Kelp seaweed soup is a tad too salty for my taste but I heard it’s supposed to be salty for Korean.

Our main course arrived the chicken set was nicer than the beef set as it was stir-fried with some spicy sauce. The sauce tasted like the sauce served with bibimbap. There were 2 different types of pancakes in each plate and my personal favorite was the reddish color pancake. The pale color pancake was a bit hard and less taste. Thank God that the rice portion was small as we were stuffed!

One thing to note is that the restaurant did not have a suction tube for those doing barbeque in the restaurant. Thus the whole restaurant is full of smoke and you just felt like you need a shower ASAP.
