Voucher Food Hunt: Cheers Restaurant & Bierhaus (Part 2)

This is the 2^nd time I’ve bought voucher for Cheers Restaurant & Bierhaus since I was quite impressed with the restaurant during my 1^st visit (link).  There was very less choices for vouchers during the period so I’d decided to buy another voucher from Cheers again.

1 Pax (RM20) / 2 Pax (RM36): 3-Course Western Meal: Soup of The Day + Main Course (3 choices) + Cake with Ice-Cream + Iced Lemon Tea from RM18 per person

There was no beer in this deal but only Iced Lemon Tea which was very watery.

The soup of the day was not of previous quality as well – during our 1^st visit, the soup was homemade thick mushroom soup but this time it’s just watery CAMPBELL soup.

We chose the main course of Pork Burger and Sausage & Fish Mixed Grill. The pork burger kind of disappointed me this time as it was not as fresh, dry and tasted ‘porky’. The quality simply deteriorated since our 1^st visit! The Sausage & Fish Mixed Grill was nothing to shout about as it was edible but ordinary.

Our dessert was Cake with Ice Cream which was quite common with butter cake & Strawberry Ice Cream.

I wonder whether they have a change of chef between our two visits as there was a big difference in food quality. Anyway, this was definitely a mediocre meal which you could have in any places. 

Cheers Restaurant & Bierhaus is located between Gurney and Island Plaza – same row as Starbucks Drive-Thru in Penang
