The last meal before an operation is supposed to be light in
order to avoid any unwanted effects during and after the operation. Thus I’ve planned to splurge myself on the 2nd
night before operation – the original plan was to go to Ingolf Kneipe (My
absolute favourite!!!) for the big sausage platter with additional mushroom
sauce (Heavenly!!!). We tried to call up Ingolf but no one picked up thus we
drove there without any reservation. Lo’n’behold! Apparently Ingolf is now
CLOSED ON SUNDAY!!!! WHAT THE HECK???!!!

Since Ingolf was not available, we’d decided to drive to
Strait Quay’s Spasso Milano – an Italian restaurant which we patronized quite a
long time ago. The restaurant was quite empty when we arrived and basically
only had 3 tables occupied. We ordered some Italian Soda (Orange & Bitter
Citrus) for our drink. The Orange flavor was really nice with a tangy taste
whilst the Bitter Citrus was kind of strange.

Our main courses soon arrived - Aglio Olio & Wagyu Beef Panini. People once say if you want to know the quality of an Italian Restaurant, Aglio Olio is the perfect dish to test it. Spasso Milano Aglio Olio was drenched in Olive Oil with chili flakes & garlic. The spaghetti was Al Dante and served with extra chili flakes and parmesan cheese on your table. It was quite yummy albeit could be too oily for some.

The Wagyu Beef Panini was basically thin sliced of Wagyu Beef sandwiched between very thin bread – one thing I notice that there was only beef, some cherry tomato and lettuce inside which is quite strange. I thought there should be at least some mozzarella cheese as well. The end result without the cheese made it quite bland and dry.

Finally our dessert was served – Tiramisu! Yummy yummy! I wish this was bigger!

The total damage was around RM120 for the meal. Blame Ingolf
for not opening for letting us spent more on “The Last Supper”! =P
