Voucher Food Hunt: Chou Shun Kan Japanese BBQ

Chou Shun Kan is kind of a Japanese/Korean fusion restaurant. I’d been there for their set lunch before during lunchtime but never had the chance to try out their BBQ. Thus I immediately bought the voucher when I saw this deal.

Pork & Chicken Moriawase Set + Rice + Soup + Salad for 2 (RM29.90)

The barbeque is special as it’s traditional charcoal pot topped with wire net. It’s the 1st time I saw this in a restaurant. The traditional Korean kelp seaweed soup was served with rice & salad before the waitress brought out the pot and our plate of meat. Look at the size of that!
Lookie lookie!
Soup, Salad, Kimchi, Rice & Sauce and Vege for wrapping
Lots of Meat here...
The meat was well marinated and it was so fun barbequing it on our own. The grease in the pork started to melt and dripped into the charcoal thus causing the huge fire! HELP!!! The waitress had to come to our rescue more than once with ice cube to “extinguish” the fire. Don’t worry about the BBQ smoke as they do have suction tube to suck in the smoke. Highly recommended for the food and fun factor! Gosh, I sound like a child who plays with her food. :p
Oh no!!! HELP!
Chou Shun Kan is located at Krystal Point, Penang.
