Travel Log: The Hunger Games - Prey (Part 1)

Since Oasia hotel located right at the heart of Novena Square, we were basically surrounded by malls which translated to FOODssss! =P

Caveman Food

Caveman Food was one of the first prey during my stay as it was located right at lower ground floor in Novena 2. The stall promoted Paleo eating so that was the reason it became my 1st prey! LOL!!! Basically one could choose a main course and 2 side dishes.
The Menu
I’d tried the Italian Quarter Chicken with Brocolli & Carrot and apple salad. The chicken might looked dry from the pictures but it was really juicy! The apple salad was yummy too with homemade mayo without sugar. =P

Yummy & Healthy!
Wash it down with TWG Jasmine Tea!
Since I was always conflicted between good food and weight lost, I ended up in Caveman Food again for their Salmon set. I had to wait there for 10-15mins for the salmon to bake and this time I chose broccoli & carrot and pumpkin as side dishes. The salmon was sparsely seasoned with pepper and salt but it was really fresh and delectable. Do not underestimate the size of the set – I was beyond stuffed due to the pumpkin! Burps!
Salmon! Fresh & Healthy too!
Ajisen Ramen

I stumbled upon this ramen restaurant in Novena 2 since it was kind of recommended on internet. I ordered the volcano ramen with gyoza and green tea set. The ramen was kind of disappointing as it was really ordinary – the soup was not ‘volcano’ enough as well. As for the egg – can you imagine it was hard boiled egg rather than the Japanese spring egg? *facepalm*
Ajisen Ramen! Looks Tempting huh?

The Volcano Ramen - with Hardboiled egg?! Seriously?! And they forget my order of no bean sprout!
Fried Gyoza
Ramen Sari-Uma

This ramen definitely triumphed Ajisen – located in United Square, it was highly recommended by my Singaporean colleagues. We ordered Nori-tama uma and the soup was really thick and it was served with 3 sheets of seaweed and a genuine Japanese spring egg! YUMMY!!! Will definitely come back for other choices. Carbohydrate be darned! LOL!

Cold Storage

Sometimes when one was too lazy or too busy for any real food, one might resorted to junk foods! That was when Cold Storage became handy! One might just grabbed some appetizer, main course and dessert right from the store which summed up as Pasta Chips, Turkey sandwich and Dark Chocolate Covered Blueberries. Who cares if you couldn’t finish it in one go? Just pack and bring home since you don’t want to waste the food right? *wink*
Too lazy for a Real Dinner? Cold Storage to the Rescue!
Duke Bakery

When you were rushing from the airport to office and were just thinking about ‘light’ lunch? Duke Bakery to the rescue! The French Potato Bun was delish with tons of mashed potato with ham. Whereas the double cheese loaf was loaded full of Hokkaido cheese and walnut! Definitely a treat there!
