Duration: 8 Days 7 Nights (Nov 30~Dec 08, 2013)
Day 3-6: A Working Girl in San Francisco
After a short sleep thanks to jetlag, I finally went to
enjoy the breakfast at Plaza Suites at 7am. They have quite some spread there
and you could order a ‘main course’ along with the spread. I ended up order
“Today’s Special” of Omelet with Mushroom & Spinach – tasted okay but made
me too full until I couldn’t stomach other stuffs. They also had drinks to go
such as hot chocolate, tea or coffee. I took the hot chocolate and it was a
nightmare – tasted like sugary syrup! Eewwww…..
Omelet with Mushroom & Spinach and some Bacons washed down with a glass of Cranberry Juice
Plaza Suites provided complimentary shuttle to the office
thus there I was reaching the office before 7.45am. Day went on fast and we
only managed to leave office at 7pm++. Boss drove us to a seafood restaurant in
Sunnyvale since we were all starving. Yummy seafood there! Heard it’s a
favourite for the counterparts there in Sunnyvale.
Smoked Fish Platter - This was Yummy!
Boss' Fried Seafood Set! Big huh?
My Grilled Fish Set - Potato Au Gratin was awesome!
Finally managed to reach San Francisco Hotel Triton at almost 10pm since boss needed to return the car in airport
too. Hotel Triton is a boutique hotel under Kimpton Hotel Group and the
decoration there was definitely funky and kind of homely. I prefer this much
more than the too-big & kind of creepy Plaza Suites. Did I mention that
it’s right beside the Chinatown gate and only 5-minute walk from Union Square?
*evil grin*
A Small but Nice Room
Workstation
TV!
Minibar! OMG!!! DUCKIE!!!
Lots of Stuffs in there...
Bathroom
Nice Toiletries
Dooggie & Sammy!
The hotel doesn’t include breakfast but they provide free
coffee, tea and hot chocolate every morning. I love their hot chocolate – it’s
totally unlike the sugary mess in Plaza Suites. Also, did I mention that they
have FREE WINE every day at 5-6pm???!!! Yes! You read it right! It’s FREE
WINE!!!!!!!! Hooray!!! If you join their membership (which is free of charge),
you get to have free internet access and free USD10 for minibar… I think I’m in
love with this hotel. LOL.
Free Wine!!!
A Glass of White Wine to warm you up...
Funky Lobby
A Fireplace
The Front Door
Free Coffee, Tea & Hot Choco in the Morning
Cute Doggie in the Lobby
Basically everyday we walked to the vendor’s office in
Financial District which is only a few blocks away from our hotel – what a
surreal experience walking in the cold
San Francisco street among the locals.
A Church near the Hotel
Chinatown Gate just beside the Hotel
View from the Office
Me think it's the American Bank?
Some Food during Work
Cookie for Thought
We need more food...
Some Wraps from Soups perhaps?
Or some Chips?
The free wine became a warm welcome whenever we walked in
after office in the cold weather. I did go out for some night adventure if time
permitted since Union Square has lots of shopping available. Unfortunately
everything seems expensive after my experience in Gilroy Premium Outlet. =P Chinatown for me was kind of meh since i'm from Asian country anyway.
Chinatown at night
California Car Plate
Walking along Chinatown
Cute Panda!
More China-Style Building
Transamerica Pyramid from Chinatown
The Famous San Francisco Cable Car

Did manage to grab a CK Jacket for USD29.90 which was
well worth the money! Darn! I’d never be able to buy these brands in Malaysia
anymore after being spoiled by the lower price in US!!!
The USD29.90 CK Jacket
