Another pleasant surprise came from our US 'big brother' who suddenly pulled us out from the testing room with serious face and proceeded to ask us whether we want Starbucks! Oh dear! We were so surprised and touched by his gesture. Thanks Trey!!!

Dinner: Random Restaurants around Kawasaki area. Here are some of the dinners we had. Let’s the picture do the talking. LOL!

Monday - we stumbled upon this Ootoya Restaurant at the shopping street opposite Kawasaki Station. Their menu was extensive and price reasonable - food quality was great too! Highly recommended!
One of the Best Restaurant we tried in Kawasaki - Opposite Kawasaki Station
Lots of Condiments
Care for some Desserts?

Tuesday - Eating at Lazona Mall Foodcourt again, the foodcourt had varieties of choices such as Ramen, Chinese food, Indian food, Sushi, Burger, Italian Food etc. I had the Sushi Platter whilst my colleagues went for the deep fried chicken set and tempura set.

The Sushi Platter was nice - it was just that i was not a fan on some of the raw stuff in the set. But i did love the salmon & tuna. =) My colleagues loved their set and i was especially attracted to the tempura set - MY GOSH! It was such a glorious sight! But i didn't think i had the stomach to finish the deep fried tempura myself though.

The Pork Stick!
Wednesday - As usual we wondered around the street and ended up in a Ramen restaurant. We need to buy ticket to order the Ramen. I ordered the Soy Sauce Ramen and it was quite salty. Not too impressed though - still prefer the Ramen in Nagoya (link). Anyway, the restaurant gave out white rice free of charge along with the Ramen but we declined since the Ramen portion was already huge!
Condiments in the Restaurant - look at the Fried Garlic!

My Soy Sauce Ramen
Colleague's Aka Miso Ramen
Colleague's Tonkatsu Ramen
Thursday - We had an appreciation dinner at Kakiyasu Sanjaku Sanzunbashi (link) at Lazona mall. The food choices were quite limited but the quality was great. They also had these awesome square plates divided by 9, 6 or 4 portion so that you wouldn’t mix the food together.

The Square Plate!!! LOVE the Mar Por Beancurd!!! So Spicy!
Some Pizza? YUM!
More Mar Por Beancurd
Dessert!!!
The best thing about the buffet - FREE FLOW ALCOCHOL!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Asahi from the Tap was so refreshing until I gulped down 3 glasses of that (I was parched ok!). Then we took our time to sample the plum wine and the sake as well. The plum wine tasted nice only when it was diluted with enough ice – else it would be too sweet and too strong. We were not impressed with the plain sake though – too strong and too plain for us.
Drink Drink Drink!!!
Day 14: A Last Minute Escape at Shibuya

It was our last Friday in Japan so we’d decided to get to Shibuya after work. The train was horribly full with people and we all got squashed. Anyhow, Sammy finally managed to meet his friend Hachiko again after 8 months and he was overjoyed. =)
Sammy with Hachiko!
Getting Ready to Cross the Famous Shibuya Crossing!
We walked pass the famous Shibuya Crossing and went to shop by shop for some ‘marketing research’. Hahhaa.. this time i didn’t take a picture of the famous Shibuya Crossing from the top though – to take a look at the organized chaos of Shibuya Crossing – Click HERE for my last Shibuya Visit.
Lots of Shops here
Awww.. Cute lil puppy!
Shop Shop SHOP!!!
Sammy was there!
What is this?!
There are lots of crossings in Shibuya!
We got into Shibuya 109 and looked at those Japanese clothing – they were pretty and all but it was apparent that we were TOO OLD for that (TOO FAT as well!). *facepalm* We were starving but cannot made a decision on what to eat for dinner. I saw this little Soba restaurant having cheap and nice menu but my colleagues decided against it since there was no chair in the shop!
Shibuya 109
Cute Socks!!!
This definitely caught our eyes!
Soba? I want some!
At the end, they went to another fancy Ramen restaurant – I couldn’t stomach another Ramen (Ramen was not my thing anyway) so I’d decided to try the ‘standing’ restaurant to eat the Soba instead. Did I mention I love Soba? I bought myself a ticket from the ticket machine and the food was served fast! I didn’t even know what I was ordering but it ended up being some deep fried long chewy fishball stuff and I loved it. My 1st ever experience eating in a shop standing! How precious! =)
Colleagues went for Ramen and i went for Soba!
My Soba Ticket!
Slurp!!!
After food, we met again at the huge Uniqlo building just opposite the small street. There were 3 floors of pure Uniqlo for man and woman. The choices were significantly more than Uniqlo in Malaysia – they had more formal clothing as well and some of the dresses look great and only cost 1990 Yen due to sales season! SHOPPING TIME!!!
Let's Rumble!!!
Goodbye Shibuya!
We finally called it a night and ended our last night in Japan – our flight back to Penang would be on tomorrow night so we still had some time to romp around Japan. My colleagues had decided to stay put in Kawasaki whilst I planned to go for Disney Sea! Hooray!
