Voucher Food Hunt: Red Hot Café

My absolute favourite comfort foods:- Hotdog, Frozen Yoghurt and Potatoes! I used to love 1901 hotdogs but it’s now limited in certain mall and choices only. Frozen yoghurt is overpriced at some chain while I’m getting bored with fries or twister fries. This voucher came at the right timing as it consisted of all my comfort foods in one go!

Red Hot Cafe, Hot Dog (5 Choices) + Frozen Yogurt + Drink (6 choices) + Tater Tots for RM13

Red Hot Café is a Hotdog Joint newly opened in the new shoplot called Terrace Plus the One (opposite D-Piazza). We waltzed into the café during lunchtime to ‘comfort’ ourselves after halfday hard work and were totally delighted.
We made our order at the counter and the waiter started serving us our drink – honey green tea and orange. The drinks were the typical Taiwanese style tea – refreshing but ordinary. Then our eyes popped out when the taters were served – it was indeed a very generous portion and served with tartar sauce. It was greasy but nice to munch with the tartar sauce.

Our eyes popped out even more (as if it’s even possible) when our hotdogs were served. We ordered Cheesy Dog, New York Dog and Chicago Dog. The bread was so big and fluffy while the hotdog was THICK and tasty!!! Yummy!!! We were totally stuffed after we finished the hotdog.

Look at the size!!!
However, we still had our dessert – the frozen yoghurt! I think our eyes were on the table when it was served as it was bigger than we imagined. There was berry or original flavor and I must say I preferred the original. Heaven on a hot sunny day!
Frozen Yoghurt!!!
If you work in that area, do go there to have a try! They are having promotion where free taters are given if you buy a dog and a drink. We saw quite a lot of people came in to take away during our venture there as well. For small eater – I suggest to just order the 6 inches Dog as it was huge on its own and only cost RM5.90.

Red Hot Café is located at Terrace+ the One – just opposite D’Piazza in Penang.
