Previous Day: Osaka Castle, Osaka Aquarium, Ferris Wheel & Foodsss

Destination: Japan
Duration: 8 Days 8 Nights (Nov 27~Dec 05, 2017)

Day 2: A Meh Day at Universal Studio Japan
We were supposed to wake up early to get to USJ which opened at 9.30am today but ended up departing late due to lil one & the old one. *rolleyes* Anyway during waiting it was time for me to indulge the overnight lobster roll from Luke’s Lobster which still tasted scrumptious when it was cold. =P
How i wish to have this as breakfast everyday... =P
We took the following train to universal studio thanks to Hyperdia.
Kitahama station (Keihen Main Line Sub-Exp for HIRAKATASHI)->Kyobashi station (Osaka Loop Line (Inner Loop) for SAKURAJIMA)-> Nishikujo (same train – JR Yumesaki line for SAKURAJIMA)-> Universal City Station

It was already 11am+ by the time we reached Universal studio city walk. We quickly took some obligatory pictures before entering the park with our pre-purchased ticket from GovoyaginThus we didn’t have to queue for ticket purchasing and there was no queue to enter the park that day as well.
Some 3D pictures on the floor...
Hard Rock before the USJ Entrance...
The Main Entrance
The Globe
No Queue at all...
The 1st thing we saw after entering the park was SNOOPY! We just couldn’t resist to stop & take picture with him! We were actually on the way to get timed ticket to Harry Potter world but ended up kept making stops to take pictures with those mascots. One thing I noticed was the photo-session in USJ was quite unorganized if compared to the one in Disney Sea Tokyo where clear queue path was defined. . We asked the person in charge and they told us there was no clear queue so the photo session really depended on common courtesy (which a lot of people from a certain country were lack of). >.<
Hello Snoopy!!!
Hello Bert!
Minions!
Hello Kitty!!!
We finally got to the spot to get the timed ticket to Harry Potter but apparently we didn’t need one since it was a Wednesday with a grim weather. We turned our path to Spiderman & the queue was a mere 20minutes. The ride was good fun & not too scary for someone with motion sickness like me.
Time Entrance no required...
The Christmas Tree
Spiderman Ride!
Some Picture inside Spiderman ride - Peter Parker's work desk i suppose?
We walked to the Minion Park & apparently there was some shows just finishing. We clearly had no luck with shows today. =( Anyway one of the friendly minions actually posed for us when we took a picture at the corner of the stage. Yay! We quickly went to queue for Minion Ride and it was a long whooping 70-80minutes. The ride was quite similar to Spiderman’s but with the cuteness of minions.
The Friendly Minion!!!
Now that's a long queue!!!
Inside the Minion Castle...
Can i have one too?
Yes, we definitely need to torture people!
After the ride, we quickly took some pictures in Minion Park & bought this cute little tiramisu flavor minion pancake. It just tasted okay but who could resist the look? =)
Is this Gru's house?
Minion Mania!
Bank of Evil! Nuff said!!!
We love Minions!!!
Delicious me!
Our Cute lil Pancake
Thick Tiramisu in the middle...
Someone then dragged me to this “Space Fantasy” ride and that was when everything turned downhill. The ride might be considered a ‘kiddy ride’ but it turned & swung like crazy – definitely not suitable for someone with motion sickness like me! I was feeling like hell after the ride before getting dragged into Terminator 3D show which required us to stand there with a full crowd for 30minutes where I could hardly breathe watching this Japanese lady talking in Japanese (which made no sense to me!!!) before finally being led to the 3D theater. The 3D show was just alright and I would say don’t waste your time on this!!!
Space Fantasy indeed...
I think i'm going to puke...
There was supposed to be a Minion Christmas Parade so we were talking towards it when it was announced that it was cancelled due to the rain and they were replacing it with other minion shows in stage4. Instead of walking to stage4 to enjoy the show as a normal person would do, someone dragged me into the 3D Sesame Street show instead! It was just like ‘terminator’ again! 30minutes of standing there with introduction in Japanese before the mediocre 3D show. WTF! Not to mention I still had this splitting headache due to that stupid space fantasy ride. *cue music* “I’m having a bad bad day, It's about time that I get my way. Steam rolling whatever I see, huh Despicable me”
Yes, that's me screaming after all the nonsense!
The rain was getting real heavy thus we made a stop to get a gigantic turkey leg as snack. The turkey leg was well marinated and tasted surprisingly good. We also couldn’t resist to get the minion popcorn container before walking towards the the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
Finally FOOD!!!
This is huge!!!
Cute lil Snoopy, Elmo & Kitty!
Minion with teddy bear!!!
Walking towards the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and look what we'd stumbling upon?
Here we are!!!
We were trying to get on the Harry Potter ride but apparently lil one was 2cm short of the height limit. The person in charge there was really nice and gave us the express ticket to other ride since we were waiting at the Harry Potter ride for so long.
The train!
Can you spot the minion umbrella?
Hogwarts Castle!
Up Close & Personal with the Castle
Spooky?
Main Gate to the Castle
Sammy! What are you doing?
We ended up at The Three Broomsticks with hot Butterbeer which was definitely too sweet. We did have a nice spot to take stunning pictures of the Hogwarts Castle & its reflection on the black lake and thankfully the rain had stopped by that time. We were trying to leave for other shows but realized the day were quickly getting dark so we bought some early dinner at The Three Broomsticks again and sat at the courtyard to enjoy the light show (with reflection and all!!!).
Enjoying Butterbutter with Hogwarts Castle at the back...
With Full Reflection on Black Lake!
Someone is trying some artistic angle.. hmm...
See the Glowing effect? It was actually magical fire produced by wane just beside the building.. =P
Giant Butterbeer!
Back at the Tree Broomstick again! With Illuminated Hogwarts Castle!
Early Dinner of Smoked Chicken - which tasted like the Turkey Leg earlier!
Light Show with Reflection on the Black Lake! =)
After that we went for the Jaws ride (now that’s what I called a family ride!!! LOL) with our complimentary express ticket before going for the Jurassic park ride. It was getting really late and we spent our last hours there in kiddie ride such as flying Snoopy, cupcake & Snoopy’s great race. All the rides were closing down so we walked to the center area to take some pictures of the location of music light show (which we missed). The light was turned off 10mins after we reached there.
Poor Poor Jaw becoming a Christmas Ornament...
Hello Dino!
The Truck!
My Favourite Ride of the Day - the Flying Snoopy! LOL!!!
Spinning Cupcake!
She definitely needs this!!!
Illuminating building near the Christmas Tree for the music light show which we missed...
Christmas Tree
An Empty Street in USJ
It was 8.30pm (the closing time that day) when we walked out from USJ. We were cold & tired but managed to get a shirt from Hard Rock Osaka before lil one was screaming for noodle. So we ended up in a random ramen restaurant which was surprisingly full of patrons at 9pm at the 5th floor of universal studio city walk. Until today I’m not even sure of the name of that restaurant but I suspect it was Fujin Raijin Ramen. The Shoyu ramen was just okay but the kimchi ramen was quite nice… Both ramen were kind of overly salty for us though. I did like the gyoza & the fried rice.
Goodbye USJ!!!
Such as big set!
I still prefer the fried rice & gyoza than the Ramen...
The Kimchi Ramen with Scallop
It was really late after dinner/supper so we did not have the chance to sample the takoyaki at the Takoyaki museum though... bummer.. By the time we reached hotel it was already almost 11pm so it was definitely a long but kind of ‘meh’ day. >.=

Next Day: Himeji Castle & Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park
